Francesca Prihasti is an emerging Sydney pianist/composer with great promise. Originally from Indonesia, now  based in Sydney, Francesca is a remarkably gifted musician. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Francesca has studied with the likes of Judy Bailey, Kevin Hunt, Mike Nock, Greg Coffin, John Harkins and Matt McMahon. In September of 2015 Francesca travelled to New York to record her second album Evolving with NY drummer Rodney Green and bassist Orlando Le Fleming. Evolving is a story of a butterfly and in Francesca’s words “its transformative journey which expresses the emotion of serenity and hope amidst uncertainty, faith for what future holds, and the courage to embrace change in life.”

For the Sydney launch of  Evolving for SIMA at Foundry 616, Francesca will be joined by some of her favourite players in guitarist Nic Vardanega, bassist David Groves and drummer Dave Goodman.
